I used my nikon D40 plus 70-300mm… I need to buy a new body in the next 2 years… meanwhile the manual focus is kind of a hassle… but if I ihave a D90 perhaps I would have the autofocus working for me… anyway, my manual focus is not bad take a look at the shots… although some are still blurry I didn’t remove them coz they’re like one hell of picture perfect moment!
Piping it up
Surf’s up!

love the action shots!
Thanks @xtian
wow you use windows live too! and you got a nice/expensive .me domain haha
Hannah! I envy your shots, very sharp!
I suck at manual focus, I don’t have good eyesight that’s why my camera is always on AF mode.
wala nga kaya manual ako ol teh time haha
Hala onga, amf naduling yata ako. D60 yata yung hinawakan kong may AF kala ko D40 aw aw. <.<
Ganda ah! galing naman….
Thanks

wahaha. nakakainggit naman. i want to try surfing too.
let’s plan a surfing trip for the nyokers!
Looks good enough for me. Brilliant colours, spot on focusing
thanks Nicholas for droppin by to visit
Hi Hannah, try pre-focusing on where the water breaks or where the surfers start standing up para snap ka nalang ng snap. The pics you posted seem spot on, I don’t know what the problem is. Also since this is out on the beach lighting should not be a problem. A d40 with a 70-300 lens would suffice even at f/8. You may want to consider getting an underwater casing for your body and work with the kit lens. That would improve your surfing shots by providing never before seen angles. I think casings would cost 2-3k
Hey Carlos, thanks very much for the tips! ^_^ and hrmz… casings cost only 2-3k?? but i thought it costs like around 20-30k parang body na rin ang price.. hmm.. I’ll research that out! thanks!
