We got a bit jealous of the people having vacation everywhere. We just spent our time at home during Maundy Thursday and Good Friday catching up on our blog posts. Today, Saturday, I planned a simple day trip to Tagaytay to satisfy my craving for another bowl of Bulalo.
We were planning to wake up at 4 am and drive to Tagaytay by 5. After all, the best time to be in Tagaytay is sunrise.
Oh you didn’t know that? Maybe you’ve been too cozy cuddling to wake up to catch the sunrise.
Anyway, I just realized that the sun rises on Taal Lake’s horizon and by sunset, the sun is nowhere to be found on the Taal Lake side.
I had random impromptu trips sometimes after a gimmick session. After clubbing, or Banchetto, we drive to Tagaytay for some Bulalo for breakfast
Anyway… we did not wake up at 4am as planned… T___T We woke up at 9:30 am instead T__T
By 11am, we dropped by UCC to have some breakfast. Thanks to PLDT for the GCs
I love UCC’s breakfast plates!
Then, I drove all the way to Tagaytay! YESS!!! It’s just the way I like it! Unlike most girls, you
We did not expect it to be traffic… Well, it wasn’t traffic at SLEX, it was traffic though from Sta. Rosa going up to Tagaytay city proper.
We dropped by a Bag of Beans for dessert and shake. Then we went to Andanita Taj of Tagaytay for wifi
After that, went to Leslie’s to cam-whore. We would have eaten there though but they serve Bulalo for family (3-4 people) so we left and I took Vince to our friend Benj’s mom’s restaurant in Sta Rosa – Rose and Grace. I remembered tasting the best bulalo here… I’m not kidding – BEST BULALO I have tested in my life EVER!!!
Vince liked the Bulalo so much and it was only the two of us but we ate for 6 people **faints**
Breakfast meal at UCC – I love this set! Filipino breakfast that comes with Garlic Rice, egg (your choice of how it is cooked), sausage, tocino, tapa and veggies! It’s perfect!
I had an American breakfast with ham and mozzarella cheese omelet! And bread!!! I love bread! I gave my veggies to Vince though as I can’t eat veggies in the morning – it makes my stomach sick!
Apple Pie at bag of beans. For a P150 we were not so satisfied with the pie, we should have ordered the Apple Pie A la Mode instead of the ordinary apple pie one. The mango shake (P 80) was very good though!
At Andanita Taj of Tagaytay with free wifi. We ordered Iced tea only as we were full from our breakfast at UCC and the dessert we ate at Bag of Beans.
We talked and scheduled our stuff for Tek Tok TV
This is me… being “emo” and a cam-whore at the same time… What can I say? The view of the Taal Lake takes my breath away
There you go… Taal Volcano and Taal Lake…
my silhouette
From where we were sitting, Vince saw this huge huge Spider camouflaging with the pine trees behind him… It was bigger than the size of my hand for comparison *gulps*
Next, we went to Leslie’s… I close up view of the Taal Volcano, I noticed smoke and a little bit of fire… Lava? or, are there people camping there?
Next: Cam-whoring at Leslie’s
It was cold so I had my jacket on…
But, it doesn’t look nice on the picture so I removed it for a while and bear the coldness
This is a nice picture
Okay, dinner time at Benj’s mom’s Restaurant Rose and Grace
OMG nomnomnomzzz!!!
You can taste the true flavor of beef! Not the artificial one!
And the meat is so Tender!
This is temptation!
The bone had a lot of yummy bone marrow to offer!!! So tempting!!! But we did not finish it all because it will be very unhealthy! We only got little.
On the side, we had sweet and sour fish…
This was before the food was served… they gave us Bulalo soup… which is so nice!!!
We pigged out T___T
A food serving for 6… yet we both finished everything T__T can’t help but eat… so yummy food!!!
Will definitely be back here and bring more friends… oh the Bulalo is really yummy!
A lot of people dine here. This place is across Caltex Station in Sta Rosa. People still choose to dine here instead of the commercialized restos in the Sta Rosa compound!
We even had the bowl refilled with Bulalo soup…
Bone *faints*
Highly recommended to stop over here! It’s a good dining place for the family… really nice food! This is the best Bulalo in Tagaytay ever!
Check it out ^_^
