I love parties and costume parties!

Stock Market invited a few bloggers for a 30s night and I gladly breezed through a busy schedule to come in costume.

I was so confused, I never lived in the 30s (:P) and I don’t know what’s the fashion at the time so I had to turn to “Google” for advice :P

I am not even sure if I was wearing a 30s outfit, but these are just the stuff I pulled out of my closet to try my best to look 30s… jeng jeng jeng!

with Mhel and Ken of Certified Foodies blog

It was fun meeting new bloggers and having a lovely chat with them while we enjoyed a healthy feast before us!  I have always loved dining here at Stock Market.  I just love the simple, clean and neat interior that lures me inside.  I usually order soup here for take-out when someone is sick, or I myself am sick :P

Dinner at Stock Market

We started out with a soup (my favorite here!)

stock market tomato cheese supreme

On the left is Pier 21 Clam Chowder inside a bread and the one on the right is Tomato Cheese Supreme!

I loved both soup, but I have always been a fan of Clam Chowder.  It is made of San Francisco’s favorite creamy clam chowder served on a bread bowl topped with chives.

I think Vince will like the Tomato Cheese soup!  Fresh cream tomato soup and cheese combined topped with herb foam.

Stock Market - salmon and spinach dip

oooh, I love this one! I am gonna come back for this one just to satisfy my cravings!

This appetizer is composed of different kinds of bread and nachos.  What’s special with this appetizer is the *appetizing* Salmon and Spring dip! *faints*  It is made out of smoked salmon in four-cheese dip served with Tuscany bread, soft pita, and fried chips great for sharing! I fell in love with the dip that I wanted to ask the chef for a recipe! har har har! :P But yeah, I’ll just have to come back for this and order this every time! And I know this is for sharing, but I’m gonna have this all to myself *rawr*

I wanted to try something different for drinks.  There were two odd drinks (but healthy ones) that I found on the menu… one was the Ampalaya Cooler and the other one was the Malunggay juice which I ordered.  I tasted the Ampalaya drink first because Ken ordered this and it arrived first.  It wasn’t bad though, seriously, you’d probably feel less guilty and more fulfilling drinking *ampalaya*.  It has a bitter after taste though but it’s not bothersome.

As for the Malunggay Citrus drink, some say it’s acquired taste but for me, I loved it.  I grew up in a province where the specialty is “Laswa”.  and no, it’s not the root word of “malaswa” it’s pronounced with the accent on the “Las” and not the “wa”.  My grandmother always cooks me this soup that’s made up of all vegies (malunggay and okra) and some shrimps sometimes.  Oh and this humble city I grew up in is in Bacolod :)

almond chicken tenders

Almond Chicken Tenders – Chicken tenders coated with almonds deep fried till golden brown served with house dip and honey mustard dressing.

Just an observation, everyone pretty much ignored the twister fries but the little boy we have on dinner with us :)  But also, the kid enjoyed the almond tenders too which definitely proves that you don’t have to buy a separate happy meal for your kid when you dine in this restaurant.  They have kid-friendly but healthy meals your kids would love <3

stock market sassy spring roll

Next is the Sassy Spring Roll made of crispy egg roll, stuffed with tuna, spinach, onion and cream cheese.  Served with vegetable crudites, sour cream and chives.

What can I say, I am not a fan of veggies because my mom used to force me to eat them which made eating veggies traumatic! @_@ but since my well-being is important for me and veggies are always good, I slowly introduced it to my diet.  I appreciate veggies being cooked creatively, and by creatively, I mean they don’t taste like veggies :P

This for me is a winner, I think I ate two rolls :P *burps*

stock market cold soup, cold melon rhapsody

I am not a fan of cold soup, but if you are, they serve Cold Melon Rhapsody which is made of Puree of melon, chicken consomme, served with basil foam.

seared ahi tuna

ooh yummy! the Seared Ahi Tuna.  Fresh seared Albacore tuna loin coated with black and white sesame seeds, served with grilled tropical fruit salsa, light soy wasabi and lemon.

I didn’t even have to dip it into the soy sauce.  It tasted fine on its own!

pacific cove salad at stock market

Not a fan of veggies but a fan of Pacific Cove Salad.  I think this is a must-order everytime you visit this place! It’s a fun, healthy salad made of fresh shrimp, real crab meat, ripe mango, cucumber, tomatoes on a bed of crisp romaine lettuce served with special house dressing.  Talk about all the protein, carbs and other healthy nutrients you will get out of this tasty salad :)

Stock market harvest salad

The Stock Market Harvest Salad.  If you want an all-veggie salad, then this should be one of your choices.  It is made of caramelized walnuts and fresh market fruits witha pineapple wedge and romaine lettuce tossed in pineapple vinaigrette.

Main Course

chicken surprise stock market

Texan Barbeque Chicken

48-hour marinated chicken grilled to perfection!  No wonder the chicken was so tasty!  It is served with skewered vegetables and rose herbed rice.

Pork Tenderloin Madness

Grilled pork tenderloin marinated in special herbs and spices served with organic tumeric rice and house salad.  I guess this is ideal if you want a set meal on your own.  What I love about Stock Market is they always serve your meats with veggies and special herbed rice :)

Country style pork ribs stock market

Country Style pork Ribs

I think I will order this if I’m really hungry and I just came from Pole training!  It is made of grilled pork ribs served with glazed corn kernels (I love corn!), steamed white rice and house dip.  If I remember correctly, I got a lot of corn for dinner :P

seared salmon at stock market

Seared Salmon

I love this and I think Vince would love this too! It’s made of fresh Norwegian Salmon seared to perfection.  Served on a bed of garlic mashed potato (that’s it I’m officially hungry writing this blog post), fresh market vegetable and caper tomato sauce.

clams pasta

They also have different kinds of pasta for sharing.  I particularly love the oil-based spaghetti pasta with clams!  But depending on my mood, I also crave for cream-based and tomato based pasta.

Trio Gastronomy

At this time, I was too full to eat *burps*

This is one of their house specialties – the Trio Gastronomy.  It is a combination of chunky chicken tuna melt, with seafood delight on a fresh foccacia bread served with house salad and chips.

Perfect for an afternoon snack!

Desserts!

oh the sweet things in life!

Flaming Orange Banana

It’s made of fresh banana and orange glazed in butter and rhum serverd with creme anglaise and non-fat ice cream :)

Mango Banana crepe with non-fat ice cream :)

Creme Brulee Duo

My favorite! Made of a combination of mango and classic creme brulee topped with caramelized sugar and mango coulie.

At the end of the night, I had a full satisfied tummy and a prize for winning “best dressed” of the night!  My dress-up was worth it!

Thank you Stock Market for a wonderful dinner.
