Last night, I had dinner with a few other Tech enthusiasts and we also got updated with the latest happenings on Sun Cellular network.

There’s something about customized items that really gets you interested, isn’t it? Customized tailored suits, customized shoes for running and customized phone number!

As far as I can remember, my friend who had his number customized to put 6 “zeros” (09xx-5000-000) cost him about Php 20,000!

Expensive right? But hey, you can do this now with a new Sun Cellular sim card that you can buy at Sun Shops for only P59!

So yesterday night, I got to try this feature, along with other bloggers. I was resisting to tweet about it (until I have taken domain of “HANNAH“) … unfortunately, it is already taken – so I just went with my alternative “FLAIRC“.

Sun Name Ur Number SIM 

This is a first time a telco in the Philippines as offered this feature.  Sun Name Ur Number SIM – a prepaid SIM which allows subscribers to choose their own mobile number for FREE.  Be it 0943-9-SO-POGI, 0942-8-I-KIKAY or 0943-8-INLOVE.

This service is usually offered to postpaid subscribers only, but now, prepaid users can customize their last 6 digits to their liking.

On top of this feature, Sun Name Ur Number SIM also comes with a Sun Call and Text Combo 50 load which is valid for 5 days.

It comes with

• 200 Sun texts
• 200 texts to other networks
• 70 minutes of Sun calls

all for only P59.

How to Customize your Sun Cellular Mobile Number

1.  Insert sim card on your mobile phone and turn it on. Your sim is not activated yet until you set your custommized number.

2.  Dial *247# and follow the instructions

That’s it! 2 steps

Enter your desired 6 digits

If your customized number is already taken, it will give you a list of alternatives, close to the number you picked.

It happened to me because “09XX-X-HANNAH” is already taken

I put 09XX-X-FLAIRC instead

AWESOME!!!
