Flair Getaways: Pico de Loro Cove by Hamilo Coast

I’ve always asked my friends “Where is the nearest beach from Manila that’s clean and nice?”  They would always say Batangas or Zambales – both takes about roughly 3 hours.  But recently I heard there’s a (soon 1.5 hrs drive) highway recently developed for easy driving from Manila to Nasugbu, Batangas.  I’m not sure if the highway is done yet, but you can also drive to Pico de Loro via Tagaytay (2.5 hrs)  Perfect!  Now I’m happy to know that if I need to go to a beach somewhere, I can just drive 1.5 hrs to this great place called Pico de Loro.  I didn’t expect much when I heard about it.  I thought it was just going to be a typical beach resort.  But I was so amazed at what I saw, to the point that I want to buy one of the units and just live there (since I work from home anyway).

A view from the Chapel

Pico de Loro Cove is the first urban living community developments of Hamilo Coast.  The community brings together families and friends who love living the good life with a scene of green and blue.  Pico de Loro Cove is situated in Batangas and brings you the view of the untouched mountains and serene seas.

Me and Matt, together Rica and Jo spent a lovely getaway at this marvelous place.  At the end of our trip, me and Matt wanted to become members 😛

Pico Sands Hotel

For now, all areas can be accessed by guests as long as you are endorsed by a member :)  However, if you want to experience the greatness of the place without being endorsed, you can do so by booking for a stay at the Pico Sands Hotel.  This gives you access to the main beach and the Pico de Loro Country club which is just beside the hotel.

The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious!

Pico Sands Hotel has 154 rooms with all the thoughtful amenities that ensured our comfort.  Just a couple of minutes’ walk and we can have access to the Pico de Loro Beach Club were they have badminton, basketball, bowling, billards, karaoke etc.  There’s also a shuttle to take us to the beach front for some relaxation time.  Guests can also inquire and try their water activities.  Or, if you’re like me, just relax by the beach with a shake, music or a book.

Pico de Loro Country Club

You are never going to get bored here!  Bring your friends and family with you for more fun because you will never run out of activities for everyone!

Left and right, there’s pool space for everyone!

This is only the front part of their kid’s play place… towards the back is more fun, more awesomeness!

Even adults (like me) envy the kids for this fun kingdom!  I wanted to go and play there myself!

Billard pool tables

Sing your heart and lungs out!  Karaoke time!

They really have a big gym that would encourage you to get fit despite being on vacation.

They have a HUUUUGE dance floor!!! *tears* I want to own one.. I was thinking the entire time if I could install my pole here…

Badminton / Tennis area.  You can rent rackets, shuttlecocks and balls :)

Wooden floor basketball.  Matt wants to play here!

Squash and table tennis area.  Again, this is Matt’s venue 😛

Sports not drugs people!

Bowling time at the Country Club!

Rica won the Bowling challenge!!!

Well… I sucked at it and scored very low :(  but I had so much fun I will do it over and over again!!! XD

Check out the rates of the different Country Club activities here.

Pico de Loro Beach Club and Water Activities

Explore the sun and the seas!

The beach has the view of the South China sea and you have different areas / coves you can come to visit.  If you just want to stay and chill at the main beach, that’s also fine.

Main beach at sunsent time

Pool or Beach?  It depends on what mood you’re on 😉

Memories I will never forget, me and Matt going to Santelmo Cove

Itayo cave.

Yes, our speedboat passed by inside 😉

Santelmo Cove finally :)

You can rent the area for a fee.  Invite friends and family and get this spot all for yourself!

Check out the rates of the different water activities here.

Pico de Loro Residences

This holds true, I’ve been wishing to live in this area the moment I’ve explored the place.  I work from home anyway so as long as internet is stable here (which pretty much is), I’m good to go!

We went around the different properties and sample units.

You can chose between the lake view and mountain view.

Either way, living here means you get to experience living with nature comfortably and the city is just a couple of hours away!

Penthouse unit with a really great view!

Penthouse unit has 3-4 bedrooms and a whole lot of space!

Wouldn’t it be nice?

The Food

You don’t need to bring anything much because the restaurants have pretty much everything you crave for.

End of the Trip

The road to Nasugbu is very good :)

and our road trip ended there, but is forever in my memory.

Find a place for you.  Own a unit, or just become a member.  Contact Pico de Loro Cove for details.

Pokemon XY in 3D on October 12 2013

Journey around the Kalos region, in 3D! I’v heard this news for quite a bit now, thanks for my poke-addict boyfriend who told me about this!

I am looking forward to the following things:

  • 3D graphics.  although I get dizzy when its 3D, I hope I can play without that option.
  • Cute starter pokemons!  Although I always get water, this time I might get fire…

Fire: Fennekin

Water: Froakie

Grass: Chespin

  • Legendary Pokemons

Legendary Pokemons Xerneas and Yveital

  • Did I say, I’m looking forward to the much enhanced graphics yet?

I should look for Lass Hannah or Beauty Hannah or Jr Trainer Hannah or something 😛

  • The characters look cute and well – they are not 2 dimensional 😛

I wish you could dress up the trainer…

  • That Pokemon that looks like MewTwo… or that Aliens movie

  • Launch date is on October 12th!!! It’s so near my birthday!

Currently, me and my boyfriend are nerding out working on our Pokemon Black and White to collect as many Pokemons as we can so we have a lot of them in our National Pokedex ^_^

Anyway, happy playing people~

How to make the fashionably correct selection for Mirrors

How to make the fashionably correct selection for Mirrors

Decorating the walls of the house with mirrors is a trendy and chic idea and let’s face it, if you’re one of those fashionable people with style who is always in the shop to check what state your hair is in and always try to keep up with trends and modernity then welcome to the club! There is a wide range of ideas for a house suitable for a stylish woman. Yes, because the mirrors are perfect for giving a bright touch to the house and for giving an illusion of greater magnitude in a room. But many times the Stylish Mirror Selection can be difficult.

Mirrors are also good tools to make good selfies 😛

Large mirrors are ideal for the living room. Mirrors with fun shapes are ideal for the bedrooms of children and there are also colorful and vintage framed mirrors for the more fashion addicted most demanding people! In fact there are mirrors for all tastes.

flair mirrors

Square or curvy? If you cannot choose there is a way to help you. Vanity combines a rectangular shaped and curved profile which gives it an attractive design and creates a small storage area in a nice and pleasant game of three dimensions. The idea of a framed mirror can mislead and remind of old mirrors from the austere grandmothers. In fact the frame is just one more chance for designers! They can use not only shapes and forms to compose original frames, but also materials and refined whimsical prints.

style mirror 1

So the key is to play it the smart way! Arrange them in front of a window or a wall full of imaginative pictures, funny pictures or lush plants. This way the space for two will multiply in a pleasant and unexpected way and you can see what you like!

But do not overdo it! It is not like you can put mirrors all over your walls like a house of mirrors. This could create a feeling that will be opposite to that you are looking for.

Movie Nights: The Bling Ring Premiere

Movie Nights: The Bling Ring Premiere

Everyone wants the Good Life.  But, how do you define it?  If you think it’s all about having the lifestyle of the rich and famous, then you’ve got to earn a lot of bucks to be in it… or not!  Why not just rob the houses of celebrities and take their Chanels, Louboutins, their Rolexes and jewelry etc.?  Just get enough, enough that they won’t notice thier things are gone!  But what if you get carried away?

This is exactly what “The Bling Ring” is all about.  This movie is based on real life events.  I say “based” because it is not entirely accurate.  I’ve never heard of this “Bling Ring” gang before, but they do have the guts!  I had to do my research for this of course and looked into the real members of the Bling Ring gang.

*Spoiler Alert*

There isn’t much to spoil actually because the main gyst of the story is just all about robbing houses of high profile celebrities and that’s it.  If you want to know more about the real Bling Ring Members, you can check out a detailed story here.

What is pretty interesting here, is one of the members of the gang is actually currently filming for their own E! reality show “Pretty Wild.”   Actually, all of the members got famous after getting arrested.  Which goes to show that America (or the world) has a sick obsession about the “Bonnie and Clyde” syndrome.

If you want to know 41 little known facts about the real Bling Ring members, check this out.  Like Paris Hilton ‘cried’ while watching The Bling Ring.

The movie was pretty okay in general.  You have to watch it to catch Emma Watson portraying a more mature, more “wild” role.  I wasn’t used to her being a bit dumb and aloof in this movie.  Great American accent too, none of the smart british tone.  You also need to watch this movie if you love fashion.  They had so many pretty and shiny things!

The Bling Ring Fashion – drool for the things they stole!

Towards the end of the movie, Emma Watson would ask you to follow her blog NickiMooreForever.com – however, the real blog of Alexis (played by Emma Watson) is itsalexisneiers.com

The Bling Ring is now showing in SM Cinemas near you.

*Thank you SM Supermalls for the premiere movie tickets.

Social Media Resolutions

Social Media Resolutions

Before I left Boracay, I visited Vietura at Sofitel and chanced upon a wonderful surprise by their lobby.  For a Social Media person like me, I appreciate what the Sofitel team had in mind for Social Media Week.

Went to Vietura to get my tummy shaped before my Boracay trip!

and a wonderful surprise awaited everyone in Sofitel’s lobby!

They decorated their lobby’s centerpiece with very familiar icons!

I just had to participate

Hence, here are my Social Media resolutions for the year.

  1. I shall limit selfie posts to once a day.  (what? huge sacrifice I say so… yeah :P)
  2. I shall avoid touching my phone or my laptop when I am emotionally vulnerable, to avoid posting stuff I will soon regret.
  3. I should not get affected by trolls! (they will only give me wrinkles)
  4. I should verify facts on my own before believing everything that’s being shared online.
  5. I shall not spam!
  6. I should block people who spam my Facebook / Twitter / Instagram feeds, nakaka-BV! nakaka-stress!
  7. I should not tag people when they are not in the photo and “un-friend” friends who tag ugly photos of me! (just kidding!!! :P)
  8. I should always be “picture-ready” in case someone takes a picture and tags me!
  9. I should only use relevant hashtags on my posts.

Sorry, can’t help it 😛 #selfie

Anyway, if you’ve got your own Social Media resolutions, feel free to share them on the comment section below :)
