Mister Donut New Flavors! Bavarian Doubles Mangostillas and Chocoyema

Posted by on Jun 13, 2016 in Food, Uncategorized

Mister Donut proves that two is truly better and more surprisingly delightful than one.

Combining two famous names to form a totally new name or a “hybrid” became a craze very recently. Celebrity names like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie formed a popular tandem, “Brangelina”. A scrumptious combination of croissant and donuts became the hybrid that is “cronuts”. Corndog has been around for quite some time now but that name was also borne out of marrying two delicious snack favorites, that which are CORN and HOTDOG. These new “terms” just prove that when you combine two good things, something even more surprisingly wonderful comes out of it.

Mister Donut, known for its Bavarian flavored donuts with the right sweetness or “tamang-tamang tamis” as we say it in Filipino, pushed its product innovation further through the Bavarian Doubles with 2 fillings! Yes, 2 famous all-time favorite flavors in one uniquely delightful treat in the newest addition to the Bavarian Doubles line. Mister Donut combined Mango and Pastillas to create the truly original and delectable Bavarian Doubles “Mangostillas”!

This new name was coined through a fun and cute way by the brand’s lovable talents in its latest TV Commercial. The young twins featured are seen enjoying the new variant brought home by their mom as a more than pleasant surprise. Another brilliant union of fillings is the Bavarian Doubles “Chocoyema”, which combines Choco Fudge and Yema. The more famous Bavarian Doubles and one that already has a strong following among the Mister Donut customers is Chocolate and Bavarian, now called Chocovarian! As shown through the joy and excitement of the twins in the commercial, the shared moment between the kids and their mom becomes even more special and cherished.

Catch these surprisingly new flavor combinations at the nearest Mister Donut, and share the moments “na punong-puno ng fillings.”

Hobing Korean Bingsu (Shaved Ice Dessert)

Posted by on Apr 18, 2016 in Food, Uncategorized

I went to Korea and Bingsu was everywhere! So yummy! Since then I am addicted and have been looking for a Bingsu place in PH, I was very happy to find reataurants that offer it.

Hobing is one of the dessert restaurants rhat offer this. Actually, it’s their specialty!

Here are the things I love about Hobing Bingsu:
– not too sweet
– red bean and injeolmi varriant is somewhat acceptable in my fitness diet (non-cheat day).
– dessert with protein (milk, beans, nuts, grilled soybean) which is acceptable in my diet
– it’s hot in the Philippines! Cold desserts are always welcome!
– the shaved ice is so fine, it melts in your mouth
– affordable! Price is competitive compared to other restaurants that offer it.
– you can have it for take out (to go) and the bag includes ice beside your bingsu

Location: Bonifacio Stop Over, BGC.

Posted by on Nov 12, 2015 in Entertainment and Lifestyle, Events, Food

I am a wing person! And I can’t believe I have only tried Wingstop just now. Where have you been all my life!?! Wingstop was born in Texas, USA and if you watch these lifestyle channels with Food Shows, you will know that Texas can definitely serve you a really scrumptious plate!

Wingstop has been in the country since last year and Wingstop fans have loved the 10 unque flavors they offer that consist of spicy, sweet, and savory variations. I was very happy to have tasted 10 of these, plus more, I will tell you about it in a bit!

Wingstop has become popular in Asia, and with this, they now offer new flavors, where East Meets Flavor.

These are never tasted before flavors such as Korean Soy, Spicy Soy, Honey Garlic and Honey Barbeque. Wingstop gives a not at Asian cuisine, infusing the bold flavors of soy and garlic into the comforting tastes of honey and barbeque.

I personally love the Spicy Soy – but it’s super spicy you need rice or potatoes to deal with it! I also loved the Garlic Soy, both sweet and a little salty at the same time. Which flavor do you like?

Movie Nights: The Bling Ring Premiere

Posted by on Jul 3, 2013 in Entertainment and Lifestyle, Fashion, Movies & TV

Everyone wants the Good Life.  But, how do you define it?  If you think it’s all about having the lifestyle of the rich and famous, then you’ve got to earn a lot of bucks to be in it… or not!  Why not just rob the houses of celebrities and take their Chanels, Louboutins, their Rolexes and jewelry etc.?  Just get enough, enough that they won’t notice thier things are gone!  But what if you get carried away?

This is exactly what “The Bling Ring” is all about.  This movie is based on real life events.  I say “based” because it is not entirely accurate.  I’ve never heard of this “Bling Ring” gang before, but they do have the guts!  I had to do my research for this of course and looked into the real members of the Bling Ring gang.

*Spoiler Alert*

There isn’t much to spoil actually because the main gyst of the story is just all about robbing houses of high profile celebrities and that’s it.  If you want to know more about the real Bling Ring Members, you can check out a detailed story here.

What is pretty interesting here, is one of the members of the gang is actually currently filming for their own E! reality show “Pretty Wild.”   Actually, all of the members got famous after getting arrested.  Which goes to show that America (or the world) has a sick obsession about the “Bonnie and Clyde” syndrome.

If you want to know 41 little known facts about the real Bling Ring members, check this out.  Like Paris Hilton ‘cried’ while watching The Bling Ring.

The movie was pretty okay in general.  You have to watch it to catch Emma Watson portraying a more mature, more “wild” role.  I wasn’t used to her being a bit dumb and aloof in this movie.  Great American accent too, none of the smart british tone.  You also need to watch this movie if you love fashion.  They had so many pretty and shiny things!

The Bling Ring Fashion – drool for the things they stole!

Towards the end of the movie, Emma Watson would ask you to follow her blog NickiMooreForever.com – however, the real blog of Alexis (played by Emma Watson) is itsalexisneiers.com

The Bling Ring is now showing in SM Cinemas near you.

*Thank you SM Supermalls for the premiere movie tickets.

Collection Makeup Brand from UK Launched in Manila

Posted by on Jun 20, 2013 in Beauty, Celebrities, Entertainment and Lifestyle, Events

Collection has finally arrived in Manila!  It is one of the makeup brands from UK known for its hip and edgy vibe.  Collection celebrates individuality and encourages everyone to shine in their own personality in a variety of makeup colours we can choose from.

Rockwell Tent glistened in color and shimmer as beauty, fashion, lifestyle bloggers and makeup lovers headed on to celebrate colour!

The venue made me miss my dear friend Mica who is currently in the UK, watching Viva Forever!  Unfair!  But I’m so excited and happy (and inggit) for her!  The tent was painted with vibrant UK colours.  Colours ranged frim highstreet hues of hot pink to London bus red and the golden sheen of the Beatles.  Plus, we got to shoot selfies of ourselves inside a photoboot 😛

One way to describe the Collection is that it is adventurous.  Browsing through the makeup sets and finally getting to have my own, made me conclude that this affordable makeup brand is great for those who are starting to play and experiment with makeup.  My blogger and makeup artist friend Bambi who was with me in the event guided me through her favorite items in the rack and that included the concealer (which I will also use soon) and their blush.

One thing I want to try is their BIG FAKE Mascara which you can buy only at P399.  I’ll tell you if it does what it promises!

Collection is available in fashion and beauty boutiques near  you.
