Collection has finally arrived in Manila! It is one of the makeup brands from UK known for its hip and edgy vibe. Collection celebrates individuality and encourages everyone to shine in their own personality in a variety of makeup colours we can choose from.
Rockwell Tent glistened in color and shimmer as beauty, fashion, lifestyle bloggers and makeup lovers headed on to celebrate colour!
The venue made me miss my dear friend Mica who is currently in the UK, watching Viva Forever! Unfair! But I’m so excited and happy (and inggit) for her! The tent was painted with vibrant UK colours. Colours ranged frim highstreet hues of hot pink to London bus red and the golden sheen of the Beatles. Plus, we got to shoot selfies of ourselves inside a photoboot 😛
One way to describe the Collection is that it is adventurous. Browsing through the makeup sets and finally getting to have my own, made me conclude that this affordable makeup brand is great for those who are starting to play and experiment with makeup. My blogger and makeup artist friend Bambi who was with me in the event guided me through her favorite items in the rack and that included the concealer (which I will also use soon) and their blush.
One thing I want to try is their BIG FAKE Mascara which you can buy only at P399. I’ll tell you if it does what it promises!
Collection is available in fashion and beauty boutiques near you.

Age is attitude. We can live youthful forever!
Cues Ke$ha’s song “Let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young.” and Taylor Swifts “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22” and all the crazy fun songs that just embodied our Laboracay weekend with Smart Live All Out Party!
I hope you did follow #SmartLiveAllOut hashtag on Twitter and instagram. We have been posting all our photos of the fun-filled weekend! I hope there’s a part 2 because I just want more of this!
Here’s a recap of my FUN weekend that was, but will always be in my heart LIVE ALL OUT!!!
I broke my personal record!

Longest simultaneous partying (7 nights)
achieved 80% alcohol in my blood (I kid you! I have a very nice functional liver and I drink wheatgrass)
Fell in love with a stranger (may ganon? joke lang!) more of like, grabbed a stranger and danced with him (so he can save us from some jeje trying to *BS* me and my friend)
Swam by the beach at night! (shhhhhh!!!)
Ran out of clothes and become creative.
Won a random spinning elephant contest!
Took paraw sailing to a different level, walked by the edge of the boat’s stabilizers and high fived someone from another boat (Lance DeOcampo) while running!
Danced on top of the DJ’s stage!
I definitely lived ALL OUT!
Me and my friends arrived on April 27. We were warming up for the Labor Day weekend festivities.
as the labor day weekend comes close and closer, more parties, more friends, more fun!
The only thing I love about beach parties: you don’t have to wear heels, you can dance barefoot, you wear comfortable clothing (uh-huh) and you get to swim when it gets too hot and malagkit!
Best part: you don’t have to drive home! You can just sleep by the sand and no one cares! (I kid :P)
Comes May 2 and my blogger friends arrived from Manila!
I love my roomies! @alyssalapid and @shensaddiction
We stayed at Boracay Garden Hotel
We LOOOOVE our room! We have pool access by our Balcony, spacious room and not-so-pricey mojitos by the pool bar!

Facial Care Centre: Because Women Have Higher Standards.
Congratulations Facial Care for a very successful 30 years and more to come!
Women need to take time doing certain things compared to men. Since it is in our nature to nurture, we definitely go all the way when it comes to taking care of our bodies.
Whether it’s deciding between stilettos or sandals, taking a “quick” shower, or getting prepped to go out, women take a considerably long time doing things compared to men. You can’t rush them; everything has to go perfectly, even down to the minutest detail. That’s one thing you can’t take away from a woman – her sense of discernment. Is it perfect? Is it worth it? Is it enough?
When it comes to skincare, a mere cleansing-toning-moisturizing regimen won’t cut it, especially for a woman who knows what she deserves. It’s not just about skin types – it’s about preferences. Standards.
Facial Care has been there to provide for the wants and whims of a discerning woman. And after 30 years, Facial Care continues to provide high-quality skincare solutions that use only the latest non-surgical and non-invasive technologies.
Present during the exclusive party were ladies who have been with Facial Care. Over the years, women like Cherie Gil, Dawn Zulueta–Lagdameo, Amina Aranaz-Alunan, Agot Isidro, Patty Betita, Bianca Araneta-Elizalde, Amanda Griffin-Jacob and Delamar Arias have trusted Facial Care. Recently, Shalani Soledad-Romulo and Giselle Tongi-Walters have also joined Facial Care’s roster of beauties.
Facial Care 2013 Calendar
It all started with the question, “what makes a woman beautiful?” Although there are different interpretations of beauty nowadays, the basics still apply and women agree on wanting the same thing: radiant, luscious, younger-looking skin. All the make-up artists will tell you that the best canvas is soft, smooth, clear skin. And no amount of make-up can hide crow’s feet, wrinkles, sagging skin, or dullness.
When it comes to looking naturally younger and beautiful, Facial Care Centre is the first thing that comes to mind. And for 30 years, they have been helping women achieve just that. For Facial Care Centre’s Group Marketing Manager, Irene Dujunco-Stacy, reaching 30 years is truly a milestone for any brand, especially in the beauty industry where competition continues to intensify through the years. “Celebrating 30 years as a leader in non-invasive, premium skin care is indeed a major accomplishment for Facial Care,” says Irene.
To commemorate this momentous event, Facial Care has come up with a BEAUTY calendar that will depict various interpretations of beauty, because nowadays, it comes in various forms. Gone are the days when only a particular kind of beauty is admired. Today, people have different opinions, they revel in uniqueness, freedom of expression and choice. Some go for the classic mestiza look, others for natural Filipina features as their beauty ideals. For some, beauty is in the way women move, carry themselves, or how real and simple they look, any time of day. “We wanted to capture all those in this calendar and what better way to do it than to ask all the endorsers of FCC to pose for it,” explains Irene.
Call Facial Care Centre at 892-SKIN (7546) and reward your skin today.
This was the night I surrendered to the music of the night
I’m not a big theatre fan, but ever since I’ve seen good productions when I moved here in Manila, I started to be amazed with this industry! Like “Where have you been all my life!?” When I heard Phantom of the Opera is going to show in the Philippines I was ecstatic!
Can I just say, I’ve fallen for the characters. And when you’re watching it, it just affects you in every way possible. It’s all about passion and unrequited love which I’m sure a lot of people can relate to.
"You alone can make my song take flight, It’s over now the music of the night"
I haven’t seen any plays or movies of the Phantom of the Opera yet so I had the advantage of discovering the story on a very nice setting at the comforts of my city – in CCP.
Yes, I’m a theatre noob and hearing about it, hearing about the songs and watching in live with the great actors was really something!
That last line was hard for me not to be emotionally involved. The build-up of the characters were timely as expected but in general, you’d find yourself transported into their world. At least that was how it felt for me.
Stranger than you dreamt it, can you even bear to look, or dare to think of me?
L-R: Guy Simpson – Musical Supervisor, Dondi Ong as “Piangi,” Claire Lyon as “Christine,” Anthony Downing as “Raoul,” and Jonathan Roxmouth as “The Phantom of the Opera”
The Orchestra and the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber
I was also able to go to the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. It was great, and a good snap of the Phantom of the Opera through the songs, but seeing it in the actual set was amazing, with my favorite lines…
Close your eyes for your eyes will only tell the truth And the truth isn’t what you want to see In the dark it is easy to pretend That the truth is what it ought to be
I’m here, nothing can harm you My words will warm and calm you
Costumes, Set and Transition
Great costumes, great set. No fancy LCD screens shimmering to different backdrops. It was old school push and pull sets. I was impressed at the seemingly floating alley / bridge.
Complete with the Gondola scene, the music, and the acting – it was perfect. Romantic! I thought it would be overly corny, I was very fond of the Chemistry between the actors. Even if we weren’t seated right at front you could feel it.
And when they did the scene with them 3, and with this song:
Say you’ll share with me one love, one lifetime. Lead me, save me from my solitude. Say you’ll want me with you here beside you. Anywhere you go, lt me go too. Christine, that’s all I ask of…
Sigh… it was very hard for me to write this post without being emotionally involved all over again! I suggest you watch it yourself. It’s been selling quite good that they decided to extend it twice now until October 14 2012! I heard tickets are selling fast!
“I’m not a creature of your government, Manila.” – Lady Gaga
The very controversial Monster Ball concert still pushed through despite protests. I am one of those who went to watch the spectacular production that Lady Gaga and the crew has prepared. IT DID NOT DISSAPOINT!
The SM Mall of Asia Arena used for the first time to house the Lady Gaga Monster Ball concert.
I wasn’t prepared for the concert coz I decided to go watch just the day itself. Good thing I have some extra clothes by my car. The best of how I can look for a concert lol. And the bandage wrapped around my arm to hide that nasty bruise I just got. I hope it rather looks edgy and mysterious. Like DJ Mike was so eager to find out what’s wrapped inside the band.
Lady Gaga was quite emotional for the duration of the concert. After singing the first few parts of the controversial “Judas”, the crowd cheered and danced and she said “Oh, you like this song huh…” The song “Judas” is one of the songs people are protesting to saying it’s blasphemous etc. But Gaga explained that this song is just a metaphor of loving someone despite them betraying you. And hasn’t this really happened to some of us in real life?
There were threats from protesters saying they would sue Gaga if there were any acts of indecency and any form of actions that are unnaccpetable to the Christian community.
I was bracing myself the entire night for something weirder than life GAGA acts but hey – I’m not worried about GAGA, I’m more worried about other pressing matters our country is facing and the criminals on loose and not to mention, the very corrupt government.
I think all these protests just gained Gaga more noise, more spotlight to showcase her “REAL SELF” and she says (here we go, Lady Gaga Quotes from Monster Ball tour Manila 2012)
“Tonight is not about making a statement. Tonight is us all coming together because we believe we were all born this way.”
“Manila are you having fun? If you’re not. I don’t give a f*ck”
“Tonight is all about togetherness. In our differences, we are all the same.”
“For those of you who aren’t free. Take this opportunity to free yourself.”
“My lifestyle is like one whole performance of liberation, for those of you who aren’t free. Take this opportunity to free yourself.”
“Its the fcking goddamn truth that people in the world need to be free and be proud of who they are.”
“You guys taught me to never give up on myself.”
“The difference between rebels and non-conformists is that Non-conformists don’t take action & they pissed off when things don’t go their way-Lady Gaga
and Lady Gaga’s full speech at the Monster Ball tour Manila 2012
“I’m not an alien, I’m not a woman, I’m not a man, and I’m not a creature of your government, Manila. I’m all your dreams and I’m all your potential. Let me be all your insecurities and your fears. I’m your future, I’m everything that makes you sad and angry. I’m you, little monsters. Tonight’s not a statement, tonight’s us coming together because we believe we were all born this way. Some people say I stand for things that are bad. The truth is, I want the best for every single one of you. My life is like one whole performance of LIBERATION.”
“All of those kids all around the world who take their lives when they’re so young because they feel bullied, or they’re afraid because they’re gay and don’t want to tell anybody. Don’t you think that some of us should f*cking stand up for them and speak the godd*mn truth? It’s true! It’s not about the music, it’s not aobut my clothes, it’s not about having hit records. It’s the f*cking godd*mn truth that people in the world need to be free and be proud of who they are.”
At the end of the night, Lady Gaga said “It’s all about the truth.”
“Its the fcking goddamn truth that people in the world need to be free and be proud of who they are.”
One of the perks of being a blogger, is you get to have dinner (sort-of) with the President of the Philippines! Nat Geo and our friends from Agatep invited us over at the Malacanang Palace for the first screening of Inside Malacañang. It’s a National Geographic special that takes you to an exclusive guided tour inside the official residence of our country’s president.
The Malacañang Palace was open for the public in the time of Corazon Aquino, the country’s first lady President. Due to heavy security concerns, we can’t stroll along the compounds freely anymore but this documentary will take you inside the Palace. It’s very interesting because the public knows so little about what’s going on there.
This special won’t only be played on local Nat Geo, but it will air soon in Southeast Asia and the rest of the World. Congratulations to National Geographic Channel and Marnie Manicad productions for a successful documentary!
Here are a few pictures and snippets of what you are about to see on the documentary. These are only pictures, but the story behind is very interesting. Catch the documentary at Nat Geo on March 18, 9pm.
Inside the Malacanang Palace
The Presidential Helicopter
Independence Day at Quirino Grandstand
It was once dubbed as a “foremost home” by Spanish governor generals. The Americans made it a social hub for the country’s elite while the Japanese transformed it into a garrison.
Yet after all these changes, Malacañan Palace still stands proudly by the Pasig River today. One would wonder what is now inside the cordoned-off areas of the palace.
On March 18, at 9pm catch the premiere of the original documentary Inside Malacañang asNational Geographic Channel (NGC) takes you to an exclusive guided tour inside the official residence of the country’s chief executive.
This exclusive feature, which took one and a half years to produce, delves into chambers of the palace that were previously off-limits to the media and the public.
Inside Malacañang also examines and breaks long-held myths and beliefs about the President’s entourage. Get to know the everyday routines of the Presidential Security
Group commander, the close-in security aide of President Benigno S. Aquino III, the presidential photographer, and even the presidential food tester.
“NGC has been aiming to feature more relevant programs to the Filipino audience. With Inside Malacañang we hope more Filipinos would appreciate the office of the President and the people who help run it everyday,” said Jude Turcuato, Fox International Channels vice president and territory head for Philippines.
“Through this documentary that was proudly made by a Filipino production team, Marnie Manicad Productions International, in the hallmark standards of the NGC, we also wanted to show the world-class talent of Filipinos in producing long-form documentaries.”
The Inside Malacañang production team is composed of director, producer and head writer Marnie Manicad, writer Cris Lim and narrator Joonee Gamboa.

In the tradition of producing high quality mini-seryes, TV5 brings another highly anticipated primetime program, Nandito Ako, starring international Kapatid star David Archuleta alongside the network’s home-grown princesses Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero. Helmed by popular director Mac Alejandre, the series about young love will premiere this February 20 (Monday) on TV5 primetime.
After the critically-acclaimed Sa Ngalan ng Ina (topbilled by the one and only Superstar, Ms. Nora Aunor) paved the way for the mini-serye format in Philippine television, the Kapatid Network embarks on another series that will capture the interest of younger viewers and the whole family alike. Apart from the three lead stars, the series is also a collaboration of some of the biggest names in the industry, including Gelli de Belen, Aiko Melendez, and comeback actress, G Tongi. G Tongi admits that it was the offer to do Nandito Ako which prompted her to return to the Philippines after settling down in the United States a few years back.
As the American Idol Season 7 runner-up who became an international singing sensation, David Archuleta has earned an even stronger following both here and abroad when the TV5 released the teaser of his rendition of the Nandito Ako’s theme song of the same title, composed by Aaron Paul del Rosario and popularized by Ogie Alcasid and Lea Salonga.
As evidenced by the rave reception on the series’ characters both online (frequently landing on Twitter Philippines trending topics) and offline (high crowd attendance in mall shows), Nandito Ako is poised to be another top-rating show of TV5.
Nandito Ako will tell the story of young love, its joys and pains, among Josh (David Archuleta), Holly (Eula Caballero) and Anya (Jasmine Curtis Smith). Josh is an international singer who holds his final leg of concerts in the Philippines. This venture is also a quest to find his real identity, a thing that has been hidden from for a long time. He will meet Holly through one of the promotional activities of his concert. The innocent hearts will brew romance and will soon learn the ways of love. But love has its twists and turns and they’ll soon uncover realities that will change their hearts and minds. Anya, a boyish and carefree lass, is Holly’s bestfriend. With a twist of fate, will Josh fall for Anya instead?
Completing the cast of Nandito Ako are Alwyn Uytingco, Ana Capri, Mon Confiado, Ana Feleo, Joseph Bitangcol, RS Francisco, David Bianco, Byron Ortile, and Ms. Perla Bautista.
Don’t miss the premiere episode of Nandito Ako starring David Archuleta, Jasmine Curstis-Smith and Eula Caballero starting Monday (February 20) after Wil Time Bigtime on TV5.
A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely. ~Roald Dahl
Just a quick thought for today. I’m so inspired about David Archuleta’s positive outlook on life. He brightens up the room. His positivity is contagious. No wonder his fans are very supportive of him. Beautiful, inside and out.
After the Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards, we headed to a famous night club in Malaysia – Zouk! I’ve heard of this club from friends and their blog posts and I was really excited to finally land my party feet on Zouk!
We had free passes and drinks courtesy of Nuffnang and one of their sponsor Heineken.
We were all honestly tired after the 12-hour trip and the NAPBAS ceremony proper. But, we all decided we will only be together in Malaysia just for 3 days and if we let this moment pass by, it will definitely be gone!
And so we went to party! We rode the Nuffnang bus and traveled to KL – Zouk! It was another 30 minute ride at 12 midnight! I took a nap at the bus to recharge.
Most of us wore heels and oh the achy achy feet! Good thing we had a VIP room!
While waiting for the bus, some snacked on some Malaysian street food! Yum! I was too tired to walk at that time.. But oh well, here’s to the fun memories!
I realize I didn’t get a lot of photos from my own cam, but compiling these photos from friends just to save them down the memory lane
This is the short review for Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1 that I shared on Rotten Tomatoes:
Just watched the advanced screening, thanks to Mellow 94.7! I don’t know why it’s rotten in rotten tomatoes but overall, I enjoyed the movie. Maybe because I wasn’t expecting too much – it still had that cute giddy moments… the only thing I don’t like is the dialogue – which was so cheesy (as like the book) but the story is great for me… a lot of chaos in the family… I think it’s a must-see, just so that you won’t be left out with the hype and know what everyone is talking about… oh, and the new character (spoilers alert) is pretty – I can’t wait to see more of her in part 2.
Sorry Twilight haters, I enjoyed the movie! I am not a Twihard fan but I read 3 books and I read it at that time to cope up with a heartbreak – and everything in that book was so relatable to my experience before (LOL). For me, Twilight is a great story but it really has cheesy dialogues that they also adapted in the movie. Although, some dialogues are a bit witty and funny too.
Enough of the review and on to more stuff in store for the Twilight Saga Universe.
Anyway, I think one of the stars you need to look out for is 10-year old Mackenzie Foy. She will be Bella and Edward’s daughter. This girl is already a model at her age for big brands like Polo, Ralph Lauren and others.
I am not sure if Mackenzie Foy is also that girl who played Renesmee’s future flashforward towards the end – that girl was really pretty but she looked more mature than a 10 year old. Will you find out for me please? I looked at IMDB and so far, Mackenzie Foy was the one officially named there.
She actually reminds me of the young Lana Lang from Smallville. She looks a lot like Kristine Kreuk too.
Anyway, I don’t want to give too much details and spoilers but I’m so excited to see part 2. Breaking Dawn is the only book I haven’t read yet from the Twilight saga so I don’t know what’s going to happen next. Until then, I will wait… Or probably get that book and read it. We’ll see
Here are more photos of Mackenzie Foy / Renesmee Cullen
