F1 Malaysian Grand Prix 2013 Result – Sepang Circuit

F1 Malaysian Grand Prix 2013 Result – Sepang Circuit

I’m supposed to be in Malaysia right now to watch F1grand prix, but I had conflict of schedule… Anyway, I am still able to catch it via Star Sports!!! OH THANK YOU FOR THAT!!!

Sebastian Vettel wins F1 2013 Malaysian Grand Prix

Here are the results of the F1 2013 Malaysian Grand Prix:

Pos. # Driver Team
1 1 Sebastian Vettel Red Bull
2 2 Mark Webber Red Bull
3 10 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes
4 9 Nico Rosberg Mercedes
5 4 Felipe Massa Ferrari
6 8 Romain Grosjean Lotus
7 7 Kimi Raikkonen Lotus
8 11 Nico Hulkenberg Sauber
9 6 Sergio Perez McLaren
10 18 Jean-Eric Vergne Toro Rosso
11 17 Valtteri Bottas Williams
12 12 Esteban Gutierrez Sauber
13 22 Jules Bianchi Marussia
14 20 Charles Pic Caterham
15 21 Giedo van der Garde Caterham
16 23 Max Chilton Marussia
17 5 Jenson Button McLaren
18 19 Daniel Ricciardo Toro Rosso

Not classified: Fernando Alonso, Paul di Resta, Adrian Sutil, Pastor Maldonado

Red Bull team has been really going strong… There are two factors to the success of this Grand Prix – car and driver.  Vettel, has been doing really great and has been consistent with his performance.  Red Bull has been there to support both Vettel and Webber.

Kimi Raikkonen, as interviewed, again is frustrated with his car.  It wasn’t good enough… I do believe him, and I know and witnessed his talent – he is a great driver.  He was also frustrated when he was with Ferarri  and I agree, Ferarri’s cars lately weren’t as good as before.

Anyway, I hope I’d see more twist and turns (literally and dramatically) throughout the season.

‘Til the next time!

The Killers Headlines F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2013

Apart from the usual speed and excitement on Singapore Grand Prix’s race track, the other most awaited event is the main performer for the 3-day event!  This year, American alternative rock sensation THE KILLERS is slated to perform at the Padang Main Stage at the 2013 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on Saturday, September 21.

I have witnessed a quite a lot of performers so far like The Wailers (Bob Marley’s band) – they were freakin’ awesome, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot, Adam Lamert and gosh, that one other American idol rock guy.  Anyway, this year it’s going to be exciting!

Get a chance to win meet and greet with the Killers and autograph session with the F1 drivers if you purchase early bird tickets!

Coolest Ferrari F1 Car Made of LEGO Bricks

Coolest Ferrari F1 Car Made of LEGO Bricks

Shell just announced today, October 25 2012 the coolest F1 car ever – the Scuderia Ferrari 2011 F1 car made of Lego bricks!  These cars will be available tomorrow (my birthday)!

The first F1 LEGO Lady driver! ME! Smile with tongue out kidding!

The Philippines is actually one of the first countries in the world to see the introduction of a range of limited edition, buildable, collectible Ferrari models made from LEGO bricks.

How to get your own #LEGOModelFerrari cars:

  • The unique, limited edition LEGO models and Minifigures are available after refuelling with Shel V-Power Nitro+ or Shell FuelSave
  • For every Php 1,500 worth of single or accumulated purchase of Shell V-Power Nitro+ Racing, Gasoline, or Diesel, customers get a chance to collect any of the six LEGO model Ferrari cars or LEGO Minifigures
  • Cars cost only for Php 140 while filling up with Php 1,500 worth of single or accumulated purchase of Shell V-Power Nitro+ Racing, Gasoline or Diesel.
  • Cars would cost at Php 180 if you fill up with Php 1,500 worth of single or accumulated purchase of Shell FuelSave Unleaded or Diesel.
  • Helix customers also get a chance to bring home a FREE LEGO model or LEGO Minifigures for every purchase of any participating Shell Helix Oil Change Package.

The new Shell promotion introduces six exclusive LEGO models that are based on some of the most iconic vehicles in Ferrari’s motoring history. This exciting promotion brings together three of the most global brands in the world and celebrates over 60 years of passion for performance between Shell and Ferrari.

I am not much of a LEGO fan, (BUT NOW I AM!) but I am a hardcore fan of Ferrari!  It’s pretty cute seeing Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa playing with toy cars!

Spanning decades of motoring heritage – covering truck, road and track vehicles – the models designed by the LEGO Group illustrate the innovative and passionate nature of the Shell technical partnership with Ferrari.

LEGO Model Ferrari Cars

Shell and the LEGO Group have created six of the most enigmatic and unique models associated with Ferrari racing. The models included in the promotion are:

  • Ferrari F150° Italia – A LEGO Group reproduction of the race winning 2011 F1™ car includes the options to change the livery to that of either Felipe Massa or Fernando Alonso
  • Scuderia Ferrari Truck – The familiar transport truck is a key part of the Ferrari motor racing team and brings another dimension to the exclusive model collection. The LEGO version of the cab has been carefully designed to include realistic details on the lights, radiator and front grilles
  • Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto (SWB) – A real legend of the motoring world; not only one of the most beautiful vehicles ever created, but also the first Ferrari road car to use disc brakes. Its distinctive round headlights work seamlessly in LEGO bricks, mirroring the beauty of the original
  • Ferrari F40 – One of the most recognizable sports cars of all time. Its classic aerodynamic form and distinctive square rear spoiler are both instantly identifiable and are translated perfectly with LEGO bricks
  • Ferrari FXX – The latest high-performance racing evolution of the Ferrari Enzo, one of the most powerful cars in the world. The LEGO version comes in black livery and reflects much of the Ferrari FXX’s sleek styling
  • Ferrari 458 Italia – Arguably the most iconic car in the current Ferrari range, making it a natural choice to be part of this promotion. The LEGO Group have pulled out all the stops to reproduce its signature details from a triple exhaust to multi-LED front lights to create an authentic and exciting toy

Lewis Hamilton vs Kimi Raikkonen again?

Hungarian Grand Prix Qualifying

Lotus team went off to a great start in the first few runs during Qualifying 1, but Lewis Hamilton created traction setting a lead amongst the rest and thus garnered the fastest Qualifying time for the Hungarian Grand Prix. Hamilton’s and his team’s strategy were one with the Lotus team where they avoided using soft tires.

Katy Perry and Maroon 5 Highlights the Singapore Grand Prix 2012 Entertainment Line-up

Non-stop action at the 2012 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix

Whether you are addicted to the roar of Formula One engines, an ardent music lover, or just looking for a great night out, the 2012 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix has cooked up one fun-filled weekend for the ticket holders!

One ticket gives you access to Asia’s biggest sporting and entertainment extravaganza and catch topnotch headliners:

  • Katy Perry
  • Maroon 5
  • Jay Chou
  • Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
  • Bananarama
  • Pretenders and
  • The Proclaimers!

Sweet if you missed Katy Perry or Maroon 5’s concert in Manila!

Concert for everyone!

A total of 46 artists will be performing at 6 different stages across the Circuit Park in a single weekend!

Expect a full entertainment line-up which includes international and local acts, roving performances, visual installations and more.

Here’s the initial schedule of the performances.

If you’re planning to witness the 5th year of the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, you might want to download the Singapore GP Mobile App!

3 Support Races to Triple the Excitement

The fifth installment of the night race will have over 100 of the world’s finest racing cars competing at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.  Not one, not two, but three top-line racing series will provide the back-up for the 2012 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix this September 21 to 23.

Making its first visit to the Singapore street circuit is GP2 – the series which has proved itself as the category of choice for future Formula One stars.  Former GP2 graduates make up half of the 2012 Formula 1 grid, including reigning GP2 champion Romain Grosjean and 2008 Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton.

The seris, which was hailed in 2005 as “one of the brightest motor sport innovations since the combustion engine”, will stage their final round in Singapore.

In another first, the magnificent 4.5-litre V8 berlinettas in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Asia Pacific 2012, will also bring their championship-closing fifth round to Singapore.  A field of 30 of these 570-horsepower machines will be a feast for the senses as they bring the unmistakable sounds of Maranello to the Far East.  In the Ferrari 458 Challenge, the cars may look amazing but the drivers are the key components – whether in the Trofeo Pirelli for more professional drivers or in the Coppa Shell for “gentleman” drivers.

Back for its fifth year on the Singapore Grand Prix card is the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, which brings a field of over two dozen 911 GT3 Cup cars contesting the 10th season of this immensely popular one-make category.  With the Singapore event coming towards the climax of their 2012 season, the competition is going to be at its most intense as competitors test their mettle at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Reminiscing on the 3 years I went to Singapore just to cover the Singapore Grand Prix

I’M A CERTIFIED HYPER-FANATIC FOR F1!

Oh, did I tell you I had access to the pitstop? ***I’MSOLUCKY***

Johnnie Walker Ambassador Mika Hakkinen Driving in Manila

Hi guys! Last night I was at Prive where Mika Hakkinen graced us with his presence to promote their campaign “Don’t drink and drive”.

Mika Hakkinen is one of the greatest drivers in the world of Formula 1.  He is from Finland, same country where my other F1 favorite driver hails – Kimi Raikkonen.

Here are videos and photos of him celebrating at Prive club at Fort Strip.  He drove a lucky Johnnie Walker Gold Pass winner around Manila! LUCKY GUY!

Here’s a video of Mika Hakkinen exiting Prive club to a Mercedes Benz car! Inside, the F1 legend himself at the back of the wheel and the lucky winner in the passenger seat!

Other pictures of the event:

I will be attending a private press con today and will update you with everything!!! I have prepared interesting questions for the interview so do watch out for it :)

Let F1 Legend Mika Hakkinen Drive You Around Manila

Yes, fuhrealz!

Johnnie Walker is inviting the F1 legend Mika Hakkinen over here in the Philippines!

Mika Hakkinen is Johnnie Walker’s responsible drinking ambassador.  I am a huge fan of F1 myself and I also love to race!!!  I take it to the race tracks though because I know the importance of being safe – not only for myself but for other people too!

I was first aware of Johnnie Walker’s campaign to responsible driving “Don’t drink and drive” when I went to Singapore to witness the first night race ever in 2008!

This is me outside Amber Lounge party. – September 2008

Tickets are at EUR 500 per person!

I highly appreciate this movement because I know how one mistake could happen in just a split second.

So there you go, if you want to race and fulfill your need for speed – step into the circuit ^_^

Check out Johnnie Walker Philippine’s official website for a chance to be driven by Mika Hakkinen and know what it is like to ride with an F1 driver!

  • Access to all Zones, more importantly Zone 1 (some entertainment are only exclusive to Zone 1)

Fans here witnessed Mark Webber’s car hitting the barriers at Turn 2 in 2009, which ended his race prematurely.

The Turn 1 Grandstand is located in Zone 1 and is in close proximity to the F1 Village where spectators can enjoy roving entertainment as well as live performances from international acts. Amber Lounge Fashion Singapore 2011

From the race track to the dance floor!  Fashion, sports, music, rhythm and glamour all combined together!

F1 Singapore Grand Prix, GPSS

Amber lounge is the hottest, most exclusive after party in the F1 world. It’s the party everyone’s looking forward to. Amber Lounge only happens in selected countries and Singapore is one of them!  I dream to also experience Amber Lounge in Monaco!

Remember that scene in Iron Man 2 where Tony Spark used his portable suit of armor?

They were battling at the F1 race track!  On another scene, you will see him partying at Monaco’s podium lounge.  I just dream of joining celebrities all around the world in Amber Lounge and follow it wherever it goes.

This event is attended by the drivers/racers, sponsors, international models and even some hollywood celebrities and musicians – gathering together to wine and dine.

I absolutely want to rub shoulders with these VIPs and meet Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonzo and cutie Nico Rosberg up close!   They are my favorite F1 drivers!  I hope I get invited to this event in my lifetime because this is the only thing I haven’t experienced in the world of F1 Singapore.  This definitely is an addition to my list of things-to-do-before-I-die.

Amber Lounge is sure one exclusive party playground that you don’t want to miss if you can!  I heard in the news that in 2010, drivers like Reubens Barichello had a blast and his testimonial was quotted in Amber Lounge’s official website.

For the second time, Amber Lounge Singapore will include Amber Lounge Fashion again this year!  This is the second Amber Lounge fashion show that has ever happened outside of Monaco.  Graced by world famous designer Herve Leger by Max Azria, the night will sure satisfy your fashion senses as they showcase their signature bandage dresses alongside F1 stars!

The party will be hosted by Sonia Irvine.

Zoom Zoom Pow: F1 Singapore Night Race 2011 Updates

Whenever you attend or watch F1, there’s always motorsport drama!

You are going to live louder than life at this year’s Grand Prix Season Singapore as it returns from September 16 – 25, 2011 to complement the world’s only Formula One night race.  This is the fourth year that Singapore is hosting the night race and my love for F1 and the Singapore night race never fades.

Formula One ticket holders allows them to access a line-up of more than 300 entertainers – but more importantly, witness the most luxurious sport in the world – the Formula One Grand Prix!

F1 Singapore Grand Prix, GPSS

A lot of F1 racing fans debate and comment on the many rules in Formula 1 racing that it seems like it’s not racing anymore!  They have refueling and tire rules, overtaking guidelines and many other rules.

But I think rules are there for the benefit of everyone… And despite these budget and safety rules – F1 is still a very exciting sport to watch!

Lewis Hamilton had troubles overtaking Michael Schumacher in the last Italian Grand Prix saying “He’s moving all over the place.”   For those of you who aren’t motorsports fans and don’t know Lewis Hamilton, he is the current boyfriend of hot lead Pussycat Doll Nicole Sharzinger!  Get the connection now?  Anyway, Lewis was as asked if Michael Schumacher’s driving had been fair on their latest Italian Grand Prix and he said “Yeah, that’s racing.”

The drama and the action doesn’t end!  Formula 1 is more than just speeding cars passing you by, there’s a whole lot story behind every team, every driver!

What to expect on F1 Singapore Grand Prix

Spoiler alert you guys, but Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull-Renault) is winning the driver’s championship.  Sebastian Vettel won last year’s F1 championship and he is set to retain his title this year.

This was acknowledged by Fernando Alonzo (Ferarri) when he conceded  the F1 title to Vettel and is now focused on finishing the race.

“Six races to go so obviously the championship is impossible,” said Alonso. “Not mathematically but we are no longer in contention.  We are fighting for second place in the championship.”

Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel’s team mate also conceded.

The drivers may have conceded on the F1 overall championship title, but they are still battling for 2nd place and for raising their team’s overall score!

My Bet

I don’t bet professionally, but I have my own favorite drivers.  My favorite F1 driver is Kimi Raikkonen.  Whenever he’s around to drive, there’s more drama.  People love and hate him.  Aside from his good looks *wink* he is one great street driver!  Ferrari decided not to let him drive on 2010, replacing him with Fernando Alonzo.  But since Kimi still had a contract with Ferarri, they had to pay him to the rest of the contract just so he would not drive.

But I think he didn’t deserve to get replaced.  The Ferrari cars are not modeled to their best unlike before.  Even the replacement Fernando Alonzo, who I believe is another good driver, could make they wonky Ferrari car fly.

As for my current favorite driver, it would be Sebastian Vettel.  I applaud his fashion style on the track, his passion for racing and his miracle win last year!

If Vettel wins Singapore GP this year, it will be his 9th victory.

Plus, he looks like Justin Bieber when the Biebs grows up.

Grand Prix Season Singapore Formula 1 Updates

Are you ready for the Singapore night race?

Well, it’s up next in the Formula 1 Calendar.  Italian Grand Prix just got concluded over the weekend and surprise surprise, Vettel won.  There was a little bit of drama between Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher.  And whatever the standings in the Italian Grand Prix will somehow influence the next race – Singapore!

But, drivers and teams can totally turn it around

Latest standings of Formula 1 drivers and teams are as follows (before Singapore GP):

*F1 stats compiled by F1Fanatic.

Share the exhilarating F1 racing experience, from the drivers and the track, to the only night race on the F1 calendar – the F1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix – along with accessory races, the JK Racing Asia Series and the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

F1 Spectators

There will be celebrities, people from all over the world, F1 motor fans, bloggers, party-goers, corporate people – everyone will be there to get a chance to enjoy the Formula 1 race in the lush city of Singapore.

I might be there 😀 and so will my friends! I’m so excited!

F1 Singapore Grand Prix for Geeks – La Terra Al Centro Dell ‘Universo

F1 Singapore Grand Prix for Geeks – La Terra Al Centro Dell ‘Universo

The word “Geek” has transformed over time.  Back then it was such an anti-social term.

But right now, when you say geek, you think Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg.

As a kid, I had this great passion for numbers and science.  Yes, you’d call me a geek nerd.  I was a bookworm as well and the bookstore and the library was my happy place.  I wanted to be astronaut as a kid.  But when I grew up, that dream perished because I know it’s not happening for me here in the Philippines.

I just have to satisfy my craving for learning of the outer space by watching science fiction like The Justice League, Superman, Smallville, Roswell, etc.

It was, and still is my dream of seeing the earth from outer space!

If you have some little bit of geek bones in your system and you want to take a look at the Milky Way Galaxy – AND, you are watching F1 in Singapore, then here’s one sure way to make that dream come true.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a celebration that marks the end of the fasting month – Ramadan.  Yes, it was holiday for us here in the Philippines too with respect to Muslim traditions.  End of Ramadan means a break after a month of sacrifice and Muslims often gather and set up sundown and vibrant bazaars in Kampong Glam and Geylang Serai.

Live Louder Than Life at Grand Prix Season Singapore

Live Louder Than Life at Grand Prix Season Singapore

A lot of people ask me what to expect when they watch the Singpaore Grand Prix.  I often say,

F1 Singapore Grand Prix, GPSS

“It’s Louder Than Life”

The people who go here are not necessarily motorsports enthusiasts but they are people who don’t want to miss out on all the fun that the Grand Prix Season Singapore has to offer.

LOUD F1 Singapore Street Race at Night

One, you get to witness a LOUD street race! I brought my boyfriend with me a year ago and he was so “mayabang” He’s like, why did you buy me earmuffs? I was like “Ah ganun, wait till the race starts!”

My boyfriend is not an F1 fan, but after witnessing it, he was such a convert. He got so surprised at the deafening sound of the F1 cars as it passed by Padang area where he was seated. He cried for mercy for the earmuffs I bought him!

The race was also full of LOUD action. Michael Schumacher, Nick Heidfeld and Lewis Hamilton got into an accident in front of me! LUCKY ME!!! (I mean, you get lucky when you witness this in front of you because they get out of their car and walkd).  Also, on that race, Heikki Kovalainen’s car got engulfed in fire! No one was hurt. The FIA (governing body of F1) always makes sure that the drivers, the spectators and everyone else is safe. So even if there are fires and accidents, they only get minor injuries. This was a learning experience from the death of an F1 legend – Ayrton Senna.

Now now, the Singapore F1 race is a night race – adding to the challenge of a street race. Yes, the drivers will be driving around Marina Bay area. Unlike non-street circuits, there is a lesser or no margin for error at all. When a driver gets tired, or the team miscalculates, you could get smashed into the wall. It amazes me how I see cars pass by swiftly over a corner 1-inch from the wall!

Party LOUD and Dance the night away in GPSS

Now, the other reason to get LOUD is the party and the entertainment!

DJ Angie Vu Ha

This is DJ Angie Vu Ha, one of the many DJs that will hit the beat with your favorite hits!

Every party station will be packed! St. James, Chjimes, Amber Lounge, Avalon and many more!

Singapore is a very strict country, but it does know how to party! I guess the strict policies are for the protection of everyone. Like I would walk on the streets at midnight and I would not be afraid. Of course, don’t do this in scary areas because after all, you never know what could happen.

Every year, Grand Prix Season Singapore hosts local and international artists. A lot of them! In my 3 years of covering it, I lack the powers to watch everything so you may choose the one that interests you.

I woud live LOUDER THAN LIFE when I dance to Shakira’s live performance! This is something I don’t want to miss. She is such a unique performer with that signature voice and belly moves! Here’s why I want to watch her (link).

Linkin’ Park is also one of the performers that I am dying to witness! I have been waiting for these two to perform in the Philippines. Come to think of it, the walkabout tickets are very reasonably affordable – thinking you get to see mini concerts of Shakira, Linkin’ Park, Rick Astley, Boy George, Shaggy, LMFAO, Ludacris, Charice and many other performers.

The 3 day walkabout tickets are at around P6,000. This would allow you to watch all of them, enjoy the party everywhere. And of course, witness the most luxurious motorsport in the world – F1 Grand Prix. The cheapest is the Single-Day Friday ticket at P1500.

I would love to go to the Amber Lounge party. This is my only chance to rub elbows with the F1 drivers. But, it costs a bit, so we’ll see abou that :)

LOUD CROWD

Foreigners flock to Singapore every time Grand Prix Season Singapore happens. It’s like a feast and everyone is on vacation mode. Everyone is on a party mood! This is also the perfect time to meet people and befriend others.

You can never go wrong with the crowd! Many of my friends are watching and this will be fun!

SCREAMING Singapore

Singapore itself is LOUDER than life. They have Universal Studios now, Marina Bay Sands, the new attractions at Sentosa. Sentosa now has iFly – a sky diving simulator. You will be literally flying and defying gravity!

ifly singapore

So how am I going to Live Louder than Life in Signapore? Definitely cartwheels everywhere, I’m going to dance the night away, I’m going to take awesome pictures, and I’m going to defy gravity by trying a pole class there.

So everytime I’m in Singapore, it just makes me want to do this:
