That’s a bold statement up there… but yep, I think that I am super techie even for my own good that what triggers my ESP (if I have one) is Technology.

Last year, I wrote one dedicated blog post about how I think I had ESP.  You can read about it here if you are masipag enough .

I freak myself out a lot of times!!!  I gave examples of situations that are totally creepy but cool on my ESP post above.  One thing about my ESP is that I can only feel something to happen within the next minute.  The most I think is 24 hours.  Other than that, I don’t think I can feel what happens in the distant future.

Another thing that I noticed lately that most of it is “Technology” related!

Jeng… Jeng… Jeng…!

Situation #1  The Cellphone

Most of the time I have my phone lying around and I am busy and so engrossed tinkering with my computer or watching TV or DVD, then all of a sudden I panic thinking “whoah where’s my cellphone someone might text me” a second or 2 later it rings / alerts me of a new message.

- SometimesI think my brain detects radio signals or has an invisible antenna of its own lol.  Sometimes I think that it receives sms signals and it alerts me before it alerts the phone for a message.

Situation #2 The Radio

Another thing that always really happens to me, like I thought at first this is always a coincidence but it just really is happenning too often for my skepticism to this idea melt, is when I say I am in a car driving while listening to music.  Suddenly I just feel like looking to the right and I see a billboard with the word “vacation” then synchronized with the lyrics of the song (or sometimes what the dj says) is also the word “vacation.”

Situation #3 The Internet

About 2 years ago, I was heartbroken like mad.  I’m over it but if you will notice my archive 2 years ago, it’s super emo like I want to slap myself now reading it lol.

I plurked saying “I think I need to go to Church.” and Sonnie suggested me to join a Christian Group that he suggested if I’m interested.  Later that night I asked him about the Christian Group and he gave me a link to their site. I was about to type the url address of the site when I noticed that, the site was open on my window already @_@…

- this one, I got really freaked out a little bit lol.  It was a bigger sign more than anything.  I even tried to click “back” on the website but it had no “history”  You can read the rest of that story by clicking the link above.

Situation #3 The Globe Event

Okay, so this time, it’s a Globe event… you know what it means… cellphone everywhere, techie people, 3G, GPRS, EDGE network of globe… more radio signals and everything tech!

So this ESP thing happened just recently and I was getting more and more convinced that my ESP is triggered by technology.  Vince and I were invited to Globe’s launch of their Flagship stores.  Thanks Coy for always inviting us to super cool Globe events

Anyway, there’s a raffle at the end and when they said that, I immediately just had the super strong feeling that I will win something!  I don’t usually get that feeling but that night, when it was announced, it was super strong.  We were supposed to go to another event but I really felt I need to stay for the evening.  Vince had to go to the other awesome event as well, but I decided to stay on the Globe launch.  I also kinda missed hanging out with my other blogger friends who were there and it was also one of the reasons why I stayed (NUKS!)  Pero totoo guys! SWEAR! I miss you gaisss!

So Vince said goodbye to me… When he said goodbye… I didn’t want to let go of his hand for some reason!!!  (Let’s not get mushy guys lol)  That same time he was leaving, I had a feeling that it WASN’T ME who is going to win… but HIM!  I tried to convince him to stay… but he failed…

“Sige, kung gusto mo, iwan ka nalang dito” he said.

“Okay.” that’s was all that I can say… Malay ko ba that my ESP(n) is telling me something.

RAFFLE TIME!

“Wait a minute” – I said to myself.

The feeling of me not winning and Vince winning was getting strong… the whole night after he left, I felt kinda nervous for some reason… my hands were cold and my heart was palpitating a bit fast and normal…

The names are being raffled out already… some people already won…

Hindi ako mapakali! (I couldn’t stay still) “should I text him?” eh what if he won’t win rin naman… what basis do I have?

“wag na.”

and the host goes “Next item will be a _____” I didn’t hear the item they were raffling out but at this time, they were all cellphones already.  Someone said “iPhone” so I thought it was an iPhone…

and the lucky name is… yep… that’s right folks… I saw his name on the TV Screen…

“VINCE GOLANGCO”

So I told Vince the whole ESP(n) story I had… I told him about my other ESP(n) moments before but he was just laughing at me lol.  I guess after this incident he somehow acknowledged some little bit of possibility that I could have the tiniest bit of psychic in me…

“From number 1 – 15, what number am I thinking?” He blurted randomly while he was driving us home.

“13″ – it was the first number that came into my mind for some reason.

“mother*****”

was all he can say… I got it right

MCafe is my favorite restaurant/bar.  It serves my favorite drink – Rockstar.  We arrived at MCafe at around 4-ish.  Everyone was wearing white.  I was wearing black.  Uh-oh, I forgot that there was a dress code!

Anyway, I just carried on and met with another blogger Liz .  We were seated on one table together with Isabel Oli *faints* and Ton Vergel De Dios (PLDT Watchpad TVC’s Pianoman).  What’s cooler is that we will be judging the new Watchpad Crew alongside these stars

It’s my first time being a judge of something this big and when I received the invite to be one of the judges for the bloggers I immediately said yes!  It’s so nice being the judge the contestants wanted to impress us

There were only 8 contestants at to be judged ^_^  It was a gloomy day outside and it was drizzling a bit around Greenbelt when we arrived.  When the event was about to start, the rain poured like crazy!  They had to transfer everything inside   I loved how the PR and the organizers were so calm with crisis management.  The show continues!  Having the event inside brought about a more intimate setting

Since I was wearing navy blue and black, I applied same color for my eyeshadow.

Forgive me, I haven’t tidied up my brows.  I was super in a rush to the event we were late!

Boo-hoo…

Like I said, I was disqualified from being one of the chosen 10 to be the next PLDT myDSL Watchpad crew due to age.  I’m too young to join!  I’m only fifteen years old!  I should join again next year!

Anyway, at least I’m happy I got to meet the new 10 Emerging Finalists of PLDT’s myDSL Watchpad crew.  The unveiling of the 10 lucky finalists was held at Encore super club and it was a star-studded night!  These young teens look very promising and they were chosen based not on looks alone but also, the PLDT team highlighted an emphasis and a keen eye on their personality who want to stand out and make a difference.

Vying for the five Watchpad crew slots are these 10 semifinalists: Carole Monique De Leon, George Schulze, Goldameir Gamir, Jacqueline Milner, Mara Schnittka, Nikko Ramos, Yasi Pressman, Arbie Baguios, Dani Miranda and Paolo Villanueva.

They’ll be making the rounds in TV and radio stations to get online votes until May, which will ultimately lead to the final five.  You can log on to www.pldtwatchpad/watchpadcrew to get to know each one of them and vote for your favorite crew member.

If I were to pick only one winner (you can chose 5), it would be Yassi.  Seriously, I don’t know her at all, but she’s my pick!  When I saw her for the first time, I saw myself in her… She’s perky and fun… smiles a lot and full of energy.  Like me, she’s also a dancer.  Her aura exudes a certain personality that made her a winner to me!

Juno, the artist from Greenland, also performed his songs.  I’m not sure if you guys are familiar with him or if his songs are being played on our local radio but his music is sizzlin’ hot and you must definitely check him out as well.

From the 22nd of April to the 24th of the year 2010, Nestea held the Nestea Fit Camp Hot in Boracay were they sent athletes and their teams to the summer island capital – Boracay.  Also, 10 finalists of the Nestea Fit Camp Hotties were flown to Boracay to conclude their final judgment with  one male and one female hottie to be chosen as Nestea’s new ambassadors for the year.

Apart from that, Nestea held a kick-ass victory party on the last day of activities.  My top 10 reasons to join the next Nestea Fit Camp Hot were based on this party of awesomeness.  Having been a writer and blogger for sites like FlairCandy.com and WhenInManila.com, I’ve been invited to many events and many parties, so finding events that can still catch my amazement are few and far between. I can absolutely say that this has been one of the best parties I’ve ever been to!

Why?

Fun and Furious, Exhilarating Yet Very Relaxing Beach Sports

The beach sports around the fine sands of Boracay are always intense! I sure had a lot of fun watching those summer abs flex in front of me.  Moreover, I couldn’t keep my eyes off the girls playing beach volleyball, touch football and ultimate frisbee on their bikinis;  it made Boracay even hotter!  Nestea sure knows how to bring in the right crowd to the summer island paradise!  Seeing healthy bodies all around serves as an inspiration to me to have a healthy, well-toned lifestyle.

Boracay is easy to fall in love with thanks to the crowd, the beach, the white sand, the sun, the reggae music, the water activities, the beach sports, the food and the locals who greet you warmly with their smiles.  So, no matter how hot the weather is or how tiring the games are, it’s still one relaxing environment to be in.  Best of all, you’re surrounded with Nestea Fit Tea stations everywhere to cool down, relax, refresh and rehydrate.

Nestea brought so many sports to frome Camp Hot Manila to Camp Hot Boracay. In keeping with tradition, the NESTEA Beach Volley Tournament continued in its 14th year and it brought in the best and brightest collegiate schools for intense competition. On top of that, they added Ultimate Frisbee and Touch Football Tournaments and a Beach Basketball court was open to all comers.The games were fun to watch and as a budding photographer, I enjoyed taking action photos of the athletes and the celebrities who played in the different games.

Nestea painted the whole stretch of Boracay with red and their message was clear “Live a Healthy and Fit lifestyle!” I’ll need to add that to my life mantras instead of my usual, “Live a fabulously FlairCandy sweet life!”

Dancing with the Philippine All-Stars

The Philippine All Stars danced to the official music of Nestea Fit (TV Commercial) which are being played on their website and all around YouTube.  Check out that video here.

Anyway, the victory party was graced by the Philippine All-Stars who danced to the tunes of “I Got A Feeling” and “Imma Be” by the Black-Eyed Peas, “Bad Boys For Life” by P. Diddy, “Little Freak” by Usher and “I Can Transform Ya” by Chris Brown.

At the end of the night, this FlairCandy got to dance with them on the stage!  They were so cool and I was so enthused to be there on with them!  My favorite Philippine All-Star is Joshua Barlis who I had a long chat with at the party and who invited me to dance in the middle of the stage…

Frat Pack

The Frat Pack, with Lambert, Mike and Tracey, hosted the awesome show as they brought life to the stage.  I had the chance to meet them at the after party in Mandarin Hotel Boracay and I just wanted to confirm that they are indeed a frat pack of fun people. Events should always have hosts as fun as this threesome!

Camp Hotties

The Nestea Fit Camp Hot won’t be complete without the Hotties!  Semifinalists, inclusive of  five girls and five guys, were sent off to Boracay for final judging. One of the contestants, Michael Mellendez has been one of my long-time friends back in college. That night, at the final judging and announcement of winners, he was so nervous that we made sure to party it up to calm him down. We danced and partied the night away.

Furthermore, I noticed a bond that developed between the hotties. Call it a hottie bond if you want, but it was fun to watch these contestants compete againts each other yet still have sportsmanship. Off the stage they were friends and family. A friendship evolved from the time they started out at the Global City for the Fit Camp until the last day of the challenge.

Samantha Purvor and Jome Silayan are the new ambassadors of Nestea.  They both deserve the title and the other contestants fairly did well throughout as well.

I wonder if having “flair” and eating “candy” counts as living well and eating right. Maybe I need to make a few tweeks to my “FlairCandy” diet plan. I need to shape up my lifestyle so that I can join this competition in the future.

Derek Ramsay – Fitness Icon

Who wants abs, tall, dark, handsome and did I mention abs?

It’s all on Derek Ramsey.  I was so glad that he was there to be a model to all athletes and spectators.  I also had a special interview with Derek Ramsay together with Karen of pep.ph.  We talked to him about being a fitness icon in the Philippines.  He mentioned that sports in general has been his thing ever since he was a kid.  He believes that people should be in sports rather than lurk into other unhealthy hobbies.

Joem Bascon

Who wants both Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby in one face?  Well, Joem Bascon has it!  This newly emerging actor has been gaining popularity throughout the industry.  He has been known to be a Piolo Pascual or a Sam Milby look-a-like, but he has been oozing a character of his own.  His presence was very much welcomed by the crowd and the people who paused and took photos with him.

Hot girl DJ!  That’s all I can say.

I’m used to seeing guys DJ for clubs and events.  When I saw that a girl is spinning, I felt proud for her to be there on stage. Girl power baby! She played cool music in a sexy bikini top.  It made me go gaga for her because I love girls working unique jobs.

Club Paraw

Club Paraw is one of the places you’d go to Boracay if you want to party!  The bar also stretches out nicely and has a wide shoreline that was perfect for the Nestea Fit Camp’s Victory Party!

Parokya ni Edgar

The presence of Parokya ni Edgar was actually appreciated by the locals.  They said that they needed a shift from the usual sounds of Boracay.  They loved having a Filipino rock band for a change.  Parokya ni Edgar drove the crowd rowdy and got them in the mood to party!

The PARTY and the Nestea Team

Partying is all about fun and celebration!  I know for sure that the Nestea events in Boracay last April 22 – 24 were very very organized!  To handle athletes, crews, production teams, talents, artists and media was a pretty challenging job but Nestea was smooth enough to bring it in and give a kick-ass party all the way!

Indeed it was one fit and fun summer with Nestea.  With all the activities, events and parties they came up with this year, you should not miss next year’s fun.  Also, you’d get your dose of Nestea Fit with L Carnitine that is surely one trend in the beverage industry and an ingredient for staying fit in our daily lives.

It was the most refreshing weekend ever!

I did not really want to announce it at first because it might get jinxed … but I am now a TV show host! ^_^ Yesterday, Wednesday, we just had our pilot episode for “Tek Tok TV” on Destiny Cable’s GNN, Channel 21.  It didn’t sink-in to me yet that I am now going to be on TV… until I stepped on that stage… and I hear the crew say “LIVE on 10… 9… 8… 7… 6… 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…” **faints**

I didn’t really faint… I just use that expression often!

Anyway, it was definitely a nice experience and although it was our first time, I’m glad it went smooth enough for the Pilot.  There will be things to improve on and I am just so excited to be doing this every Wednesday 10:30 – 11:30 on Channel 21 GNN of Destiny Cable.

No, UNLIMAIL dos store any data on its servers, UNLIMAIL does NOT use the store-and- forward method, so data is pushed to the device ONLY when the device is connected

17. Does UNLIMAIL work in my office with the proxy server?

Yes, UNLIMAIL uses the standard http ports of your office’s proxy server, the same ports that your browser uses to connect to the Internet

18. Do UNLIMAIL people know my email password?

No, your Email password is stored encrypted on the device and is sent encrypted to the process running on the gateway.

When the device disconnects, the password is removed from the gateway memory.

19. What do I do if I lose my device?

If you misplace or lose your device, you need to change your mail account password so that if anyone finds your device cannot use UNLIMAIL to access your email account.

20. Where can I get help with my UNLIMAIL?

For help in configuring and using Globe Tattoo UNLIMAIL, you may call Globe’s 24 hr customer service hotline at 730-1000 or toll-free at 222. You can also visit the website for the UNLIMAIL user guide at http://www.globe.com.ph/unlimail.

20. How do I check my registration status?

Just text UNLIMAIL STATUS to 8888.

21. If I open a HTML link on my UnliMAIL device, will browsing be free also?

No. By clicking on the HTML link, you are directed to your phone’s web browser. Once this happens, you are charged the standard Globe Mobile Internet rate of Php 5 for 15 minutes.

22. Why can’t I view, download, send attachments?

The attachment functionality will be part of the UnliMAIL upgrade on February 26, 2009.

Do note that JAVA clients can only receive and forward attachments. Also allows users to open 100kb max attachments.

Thanks to Winston of batangyagit.com for honoring me VIP tickets to the first ever International Pyromusical Competition held at SM Mall of Asia.  I swear!  The traffic was really bad!  Not only cars, but people!  It’s traffic everywhere… It was Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year at the same time and people were off to the mall to celebrate.

I just parked at the middle of the street where other cars were parked as well.  I asked the police politely if it is okay to park it there since everyone is parked anywhere! He was like… “andjan na yan eh, sige maam, lock nyo nalang po ng maayos ang kotse” (make sure to lock the doors properly).

Anyway, I rushed to Giligans to meet Winston and Mica.  I missed the Philippine’s exhibition.  I was there to capture US’ show though.  Here are the pictures taken from my Nikon D40.  Click on the pictures to be directed to my Flickr page and view settings I used for the shots!

I also have a video as I test the Sony HDR-XR520 but I will need to tinker on the device and edit the videos first.  This to follow.

A lot of bloggers attended this event and it’s Tech Time for Gadget Candy!  It’s the first time that Kristel and I are together on a blog event.  I introduced her to all of the bloggers and the other bloggers thought we were sisters.  I told her before that she has some bit of similarity with my sister Snow.

Anyway, the event was one of the most organized events I ever attended.  They introduced Microsoft Office 2010 (beta) and distributed CDs for us to test the new and latest spankin’ Office!

I am a heavy user of PowerPoint, Excel and Word.  Those tools I used everyday for my previous job at the bank.  I knew every single detail about them and I consider myself as an expert   I really appreciated the upgrades of the 2010 and will blog about it soon.  For now, satisfy yourselves with a sneak peek of what happened on the event.

And oh… Thank you to all who put the “L” sticker (for like) beside my name   If only I can share the Jacket **hugs**

Here are the pictures from Rico (that technogra.ph dude) using the TX1 I was supposed to borrow.  Cool gadget BTW, I’m so surprised at how compact it is but it has HD Video capabilities and it does a pretty good performance on low light conditions!!! Pang-GIMMIK!
